Our work with Indigenous groups is among the most meaningful work we do. We are proud to partner with these communities to build a lasting legacy. Ever committed to work that affects positive change, we work in support of Indigenous organizations to build businesses that will support a community and allow for economic reconciliation.

We offer go to market support for Indigenous-owned businesses in the form of business planning, strategic planning, community engagement, budgeting, leadership development, brand development and marketing - all with an understanding of the unique benefits and sensitivities that an Indigenous offering holds.

Our approach is long-term and adapted to each client based on the values and needs of their community. Believing that everything is connected, we aim to achieve set goals and remain as a trusted partner well into the future to celebrate successes alongside our friends.

With the support of many subject matter experts in their respective fields, we assemble a purpose-built team to tackle each project and ensure that we deliver on expectations in an enduring, reliable and fiscally responsible way.

HUU-AY-AHT FIRST NATION

With a desire to share their story, the Huu-ay-aht First Nation opted to allow guided access to Kiix̣in, their ancient village site and a National Historic Site.

Kiix̣in is the only known First Nations village of more than 100 villages on the southern B.C. coast that still features significant, standing traditional architecture. We partnered with Huu-ay-aht Ḥaw̓iiḥ and elected council to tell the story of their traditional capital village and bring it to market.

YUUŁUʔIŁʔATḤ FIRST NATION

Upon signing the Maa-nulth treaty in 2011, the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ reclaimed land which was the modern day home of a campground. With a vision to grow the property into an ecological resort, we worked with the nation to develop and bring to market the Wya Point Resort.

Working with the Nation’s Ḥaw̓iiḥ as well as their elected council, we developed a brand identity that emphasized Wya Point Resort’s Indigenous history as well as fit with the offering of a modern ecological resort. We created a strategic marketing plan for the resort and provided guest experience training to the community’s members to support the Nation’s goal of employing its own. Wya Point Resort was granted the Outstanding Accommodation award by Aboriginal Tourism BC in 2014.

SKWACHÀYS LODGE

Skwachàys Lodge is a boutique hotel that has a social impact - 100% of the profits flow back into the non-profit Vancouver Native Housing Society (VNHS)- while giving guests the opportunity to experience and celebrate authentic Indigenous arts and culture. Readying for the opening of Skwachàys Lodge, the Vancouver Native Housing Society needed to tell the story of this first property of its kind in Canada and retained Bold Ink Strategy. We led the branding and marketing efforts for the launch of this incredible project and positioned the hotel as a one of a kind cultural accommodation experience for guests visiting Vancouver.
